Handicap Cup Final Details

Last night we saw the two semi-finals in the handicap cup.

Carleton Grangers (10) 91 v Golden Lion Dudes (30) 99

Carleton came in to this having the second-lowest handicap of 10 against a team who have improved a lot over the season.

Carleton had scored 102 and 105 in their previous 2 rounds and the Dudes had scored 111 and 101 so the Dudes went in as slight favourites and it was The Dudes who came out victorious, winning 91-99.

Flanagan's Army (18) 94 v Featherstone Phoenix (37) 98

A rematch of the previous round after Flanagan's had beaten Phoenix 100-89 in the quarter-final and being highest scoring loser being the saviour for Featherstone.

Flanagan's had scored 114 and 100 in their previous rounds with Phoenix being some way behind that with 105 and 89 but it was the Phoenix, being true to their name, rose from the ashes and took the win in a close 94-98 win.

The Final

The final itself will be played on Monday 12th May 2025 at the Golden Lion in Ferrybridge. As always with the Handicap Cup final, there will be a pairs competition open to all as well as the final itself. Please come along and play along and support the two teams.
